The Future of Hepatology Starts Here
The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation funds the people and the projects that drive the field of hepatology forward. Since 2000, we've awarded over $63 million to over 2,000 investigators and clinicians.
With the support of our generous donors, we are the largest nonprofit funder of liver disease research and training in the United States, investing more than $2 million annually in our Research and Career Development Awards, Abstract Awards, and Emerging Liver Programs (ELS and ELAPP).
These awards and grants:
- Increase patient access to trained specialists equipped to treat the complexities of liver disease
- Stimulate discovery through support of new and innovative liver research
- Ensure investigators have the resources they need in today's fiercely competitive funding environment
- Connect the global research community and recognize scientific excellence
